There was a gap, so when water splashed, it flowed towards the hardwood floor, but after attaching this, the water doesn't splash out anymore, which is great. It's opaque, so there's almost no texture difference, and I think it will block the draft from under the door well.

The tape's adhesive strength seems a bit weak.
