I thought this heat-resistant product would be useful for future soldering work, but even though the product itself is heat-resistant, it is surprisingly thin (about 1mm), so I'm worried that I won't be able to use it without layering newspaper or placing a board underneath.

It's a good mat, but it could be better... the size I got doesn't have a magnet, so you need to pay attention to that. Other than that detail, it works well.

Mat arrived to australia in good time, wasn't expecting the greatest mat, but it is on the thin side, not quite what i thought i was getting. But the price did reflect product to cost ratio.
I'm not sad i bought it, but not that glad i did.

A little disappointed, as I didn't pay attention to the size, which from the photos looks too small, the edges are shallow, and it's all flexible, practically like a rubber cloth... but it fulfills its purpose. I haven't tested yet if it's magnetic, but based on the material, it probably isn't. Next time I'll look at the advertisement more carefully.

Very good price, silicone mat for general work, although it is thin, it is great for soldering and repairs with a heat gun, soldering iron, small or large circuits, it doesn't burn the table, better to use a tempered glass base.
